Base Glyphs

There are 22 base glyphs in Majok. Each glyph has a name, and can represent one sound (denoted by uppercase letters in name) or one idea. (e.g. the first glyph can be read as "Ashud" meaning east, or represent the sound a.)

Pronunciation

The consonants are nearly identical similar to English, except the r is an alveolar tap (the same as the "t" in words like "butter" or "Santa"). The vowels are:
 - a as in "awkward"
 - u as in "moon", but deeper in the throat
 - as in "open", but deeper in the throat
 - as in "eat"
 - e as in "enter", but higher in the mouth
